powerful to clear the ashes and that the fall of the
ashes from the smokebox bottom to the ejector is

The steam jet is to be operated by a steam cock suitably

same design as shown on Drg.No.Z.4472/39, Regn.No. 251/1,
and is to be fitted with a brass cap at the top.
Hulburd's Rings. The section of Hulburd's copper jointing rings as shown at item N on Drg.No.Z.4472/136, Regn. No. 251/1 is to be retained for the dome joint front cylinder- cover joints, and mud-collector joints, etc.
Boiler Feed Arrangements. Each engine is to be fitted with
a Worthington-Simpson Feed Water Heater and Boiler Feed
Pump, placed if possible between the frames under the
boiler barrels, if this position is not found to be
practicable, it is to be fitted in an accessible position
on the left-hand side of the engine in such a manner as
not to obstruct unduly the driver's view. A Gresham &
Craven No. 10 Injector with "Simplex" cones is also to be
fitted under the foot-step on the right-hand side, all as shown on Drgs.Nos. 2.4472/61 /62 and /58, Reqn.No. 251/1.
The particular drawings in the "as made" sets relative
to the Pump and Heater are to show distinctly the fullest

the ordering of spare parts for the pump and heater installation, the whole of the component parts should be properly scheduled and named as shown on Drg. No.Z.4472/ 62A, Regn. No. 251/1.
